Panel Speaker at Bosphorus Mining Connect
I am pleased to be joining Bosphorus Mining Connect 2026 in Istanbul on October 6–7, 2026, where I will participate as a panel speaker in the session “Capital Meets the Ground: Financing, Strategic Partnerships and New Pathways to Project Development.”
The discussion will focus on a central challenge across the mining industry: how technically credible projects can secure the capital, partnerships, and financial structures required to move from resource potential toward development.
My contribution will draw on my work across metals and mining investment strategy, private capital, structured finance, and transaction-specific investment structures. I will focus particularly on how financing design, strategic capital, sponsor-led investment models, and disciplined risk allocation can improve the financeability of mining projects.
Mining projects rarely face a single capital constraint. Geological risk, permitting, jurisdiction, construction requirements, commodity exposure, ownership structure, and the balance-sheet capacity of sponsors all influence whether a project can attract funding on acceptable terms. Capital structure therefore needs to be considered alongside technical project development rather than treated as a separate financing exercise.
Bosphorus Mining Connect brings together mining companies, investors, financiers, technology providers, and industry specialists from across regional and international markets. I look forward to contributing to the discussion and exchanging perspectives on how new financing models and strategic partnerships can support the next generation of mining projects.
